Kellenhusen ist besonders familienfreundlich. Es gibt drei große Spielplätze an der Strandpromenade. Der Sand ist zum 'Kuchenbacken' für Kinder bestens geeignet. Auch kann man schöne Spaziergänge im Wald machen. In der Hauptsaison bietet die Kurverwaltung viele schöne Veranstaltungen an.
